Terms of Reference

The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) was created at the eighth meeting of the Montreal Process (June, 1986). The TAC is an informal task-oriented committee working to support the Montreal Process Working Group (MPWG). The TAC activities are directed by and reported back to the MPWG through the TAC Convenor. The TAC provides recommendations and advice to the MPWG on scientific and technical issues related to the measurement, monitoring, and reporting on sustainable forest management under the Criteria and Indicators framework.
